Privacy Notice

This Notice explains how the operator of Vanampadi (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use the service. It supports the notice and choice requirements of Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). AT Protocol/Bluesky and your personal data server have their own policies.

1. Data we handle

• Account and public profile data: your DID, handle, display name, and avatar obtained through your AT Protocol account.
• Community content: posts, comments, images, categories, and related timestamps and identifiers.
• Profile data: a description and city/state location you choose to provide.
• Technical and security data: request, device, browser, IP-address, and rate-limiting information.
• Messages or reports: information you send when seeking support, reporting content, or exercising a privacy right.

2. Why we use it

We use data to provide sign-in and community features; display and index public content; maintain profiles; prevent abuse and secure the service; respond to requests and legal obligations; and maintain or improve the platform. Where consent is required, we will seek it separately.

3. Public content and sharing

Your public profile details and community content may be visible to anyone, indexed by search engines, copied by other users, and stored in your AT Protocol repository. We use hosting, database, and security providers to operate Vanampadi. We do not sell personal data.

4. International processing and security

Our providers and the decentralised AT Protocol network may process data outside Malaysia. We take reasonable organisational and technical steps to protect data and use appropriate safeguards for transfers where required. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including security, dispute, and legal requirements. You can edit or delete content where the service provides the option and may request deletion of your Vanampadi profile and cached posts.

6. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal data we hold, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and ask questions or make a complaint. You may also complain to Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Commissioner.

7. Children

Vanampadi is not directed to children. Do not use it if you are below the minimum age permitted to consent to this type of service where you live.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this Notice and will publish the new effective date here. Before production launch, the operator must replace this text with its registered legal name, contact address, and a monitored privacy-request channel.
